The Armory Community Center is available to rent for parties, receptions, reunions, etc.  Simply call the Town Hall at 794-4496 and talk to Judy to get information on reserving a date.  Read the Armory Rental Information here.

On May 29, 2008 the Indiana National Guard was kind enough to donate the Armory to the town.  Darlington humbly accepted it knowing that it would be a great asset to the town.  It has proven itself to be just that with so many people enjoying the ease of being able to rent it for various events.  Eventually the Town Hall, Utility Company and Police Department will all have offices in the Armory.

Many updates and repairs need to be accomplished for better use of the facility.

In August 2011 the  Montgomery County Community Foundation awarded Darlington Forever, Inc. a Grant that was used for purchasing a sound system for the Armory Community Center.  Also, the Old Fashioned Days Committee contributed to this project as well.

Thank you to the family and friends of Jack Branstetter for your donations of $1,000 to the Armory Community Center in lieu of flowers in his memory. 

On April 27, 2011 the Montgomery County Community Foundation awarded Darlington Forever, Inc. a Grant in the amount of $1,000.00.  This Grant will be used to purchase tables for the Armory Community Center.  Pictured is Terry Cain and Mary Lou Weliever accepting the check from Cheryl Keim of MCCF.

From May 29, 2008 to November 30, 2010 this is what has been done to renovate the Armory Community Center:

Two new kitchen faucets 

Boiler repairs 

Spray-on cellulose insulation

Handicap assessable ramp on south side

Handicap restroom

Electrical updates in progress

Plumbing repairs in progress

Installed new water softener
