Prescription Drug Discount Card

Compliments of the Town of Darlington for the non-insured or prescriptions not covered by insurance.  You can pick them up at the Town Hall, Darlington Mini Mart or Palmer's Hardware or click here to print a card.  There are no forms to fill out.  Simply take the card into a participating pharmacy with your Rx to qualify for discounts on medications.  Each family member must have his/her own card.  The cards have been pre-activated for immediate use.

The Darlington Town Council is looking for ideas to have a sign put up at one of the entrances or a central location that lists the Darlington website and any upcoming events going on in town.  If you have a suggestion or would like to donate some type of signage please contact one of the council members or leave a comment here.

If you need housing and the phones are working, contact the Town Hall at 794-4496 during office hours and speak with either Judy or Lori.  If the phones lines are down and if there is a shelter available, instructions will be posted on the door at the Town Hall.

If you call the pager and get no response they are probably already aware and are working to restore power.

Here are a few suggestions in your home if there is a power outage in the winter time:

Unplug everything from outlets, turn lights off, turn off furnace etc. so they won’t be damaged in the event of low voltage or power surges while power is being restored.

Turn on your faucets, allowing a small stream of cold water running.  Running water won’t freeze so easily.  Open cabinet doors so heat can get to water pipes so they have a better chance of not freezing and bursting.

If there are lines down near you, stay away from them even if you don't think they are live.

If you have elderly neighbors, check on them. If you get no answer at their door don't be afraid to go inside. It could be the difference between life and death for them.
