Darlington Town Council
Kim has been a lifelong resident of the Darlington area. She and her husband, Denny, have four sons and several grandchildren. Kim enjoys spending time with family, traveling, camping, listening to music, reading and is a member of Woodland Heights Christian Church. Kim says she loves the town of Darlington and the people who live here. She would like to see more people attend the Town Council meetings so they can have a better understanding of the decisions that are made and why. Kim has served on the council for many years.
Marilyn moved to Darlington in 1965 with her husband Mike. They have three children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She enjoys camping and being with her family and is a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church. Marilyn retired in 2009 after working 30 years for the Town of Darlington as the Utility Billing Clerk. Marilyn says that she really cares about this town and wants good things to happen. She’s very excited about the new Rustic Sweets Bakery and the Fountain Trust Bank’s new expansion on the corner of Main and Madison Streets. Marilyn has been a member of the Council since January 2012.
Ron has called Darlington home since 2005. He and his wife have four children. Ron loves golf, soccer, boxing, and football. He has been a member of the Darlington Christian Church since 2005 and is a lifetime member of hunting clubs. Ron says he “loves the slow pace of town. It is an awesome environment to raise children. I would love to see the town have more commerce and have a resurgence of health.” Ron has been on the Town Council since January 2016.
Justin has lived in Darlington his entire life. He and his wife, Lyndsey, were married in 2008 and have three children. He enjoys camping, fishing, basketball, playing golf, and spending time with his family and friends. Justin is a member of The Vine Christian Church and Crawfordsville Professional Firefighters Union Local 4143. Justin says Darlington is a small, quiet town that he’s proud to call his hometown. He’s had the privilege of meeting many fellow citizens that care a lot about Darlington. Justin is looking forward to serving the citizens of Darlington with a Christian attitude and doing it to the best of his abilities. He says he will fulfill his duties with the best interest of The Town of Darlington and those that live in it. Justin believes that with the cooperation of the Board and citizens within the town; that Darlington can become the best town Montgomery County has ever seen. Justin has been a member of the Council since January 2012.
Teresa has lived in Darlington nearly all her life. Between her and husband, David, they have five children and several grandchildren. Teresa enjoys reading, baking, making candy, crafting, and traveling, especially in the south. She is a 56+ year member of the Darlington Christian Church, which she has been the Clerk of since 1999. Teresa is also a 30 year member of the American Legion Auxiliary, 18 years as Secretary of the Darlington Bowers Alumni Association and 1 ½ year member of the Darlington Library Board. Teresa says that “we are very fortunate to live in the wonderful small town. It is particularly important with all the awful things happening in our world today. Even the few years I did live away from here, I always considered Darlington my home. I would like to see our community continue to flourish and be the best community we can be, while preserving our past.” Teresa was the Darlington Clerk Treasurer for 18 years and has served on the town council since January 2016.
