Marilyn Cohee ~ Council Member

Marilyn has lived in Darlington for 47 years with her husband, Mike.  They have three children, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She enjoys camping and being with her family and is a member of the Darlington United Methodist Church.

Marilyn retired in 2009 after working 30 years for the Town of Darlington as the Utility Billing Clerk.

Marilyn says she really cares about this town and wants good things to happen.  She’s very excited about the new Darlington General Store and the Fountain Trust Bank’s new expansion on the corner of Main and Madison Streets.

Marilyn has been a member of the Council since January 2012.

Justin Sparrow ~ Council President

Justin has lived in Darlington his entire life.  He and his wife, Lyndsey, were married in 2008 and have two children.

He enjoys camping, fishing, playing golf, basketball and spending time with his family and friends.

Justin is a member of the Darlington Congregational Christian Church and Crawfordsville Professional Firefighters Union Local 4143.

Justin says Darlington is a small, quiet town that he’s proud to call his hometown.  He’s had the privilege of meeting many fellow citizens that care a lot about Darlington.  Justin is looking forward to serving the citizens of Darlington with a Christian attitude and doing it to the best of his abilities.  He says he will fulfill his duties with the best interest of The Town of Darlington and those that live in it. Justin believes that with the cooperation of the Board and citizens within the town; that Darlington can become the best town Montgomery County has ever seen.

Justin has been a member of the Council since January 2012.

Eddie Ward ~ Council Member

Eddie moved to Darlington in 1990 with his family.  In 2001 after his wife, Erin, graduated from Purdue University they bought their first home in Darlington making it not just their “hometown” but the town where they would root their family. Eddie and Erin have three children.

He and his wife have owned and operated the Darlington Pizza King since 2007.  Eddie enjoys spending time with his family and is very interested and involved in the community and its development.  Public safety in general has been a very strong interest of Eddie’s throughout his entire professional career if it be working as a Deputy Town Marshal, Firefighter, Paramedic, E-911 Administrator, or working within the Indiana Department of Homeland Security’s Task Force 4.

Eddie and his family are members of the Darlington Congregation Christian Church.  He is also active in the Darlington Fire Department (since 1998), International Association of Fire Fighters, Indiana Department of Homeland Security Task Force 4, West Central Indiana Firefighter’s Association, and many other public safety related organizations/committees.

 Eddie has set goals towards doing all he can to make Darlington and this community everything that attracted his family over 20 years ago and believes that it’s not an impossible task.  Eddie believes that through empowering residents, community leaders, and business owners to play an active role in their town, along with the guidance of God, this town has not only the ability to be what it once was, but it can be better.  He firmly believes that it’s time for more energetic, eager, and motivated individuals to breathe new life and ideas into a community that expects nothing but the best and deserves nothing less.

Eddie has been a member of the Council since January 2012.

Judy Anderson ~ Clerk Treasurer

Judy has lived in Darlington or within three miles  of it since 1958.

She has two children and three grandchildren.

Judy enjoys spending time with  her  grandchildren and many other activities such  as playing golf, bowling, volleyball and  outdoor activities.  Judy likes to do sudoku,  crossword puzzles, reading and sewing.

 She is a member of Darlington Congregational  Christian Church, American Legion Auxiliary,  Darlington Old Fashioned Days Committee,  Indiana League of Municipal Clerk Treasurers, and International Institute of Municipal Clerks.  In 2011 Judy earned her Indiana Accredited Municipal Clerk Certification.

Judy has been our Clerk Treasurer since 2008.

Judy said Darlington is her hometown so it will always be very special to her.  She grew up here and so did her children and now two of her grandchildren.  She would like to see more businesses in Darlington like there used to be.  She says it would be nice to have more people involved in community activities as well as council meetings.
